Common ADHD symptoms like difficulty paying attention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity can cause problems in daily life, work, school, and relationships. At APN London, we’ll work with you to identify the impacts, provide a thorough ADHD assessment, and connect you with the support you need to thrive.
Whether you’re looking to take the first step in addressing symptoms with an ADHD assessment or you’re searching for tools, techniques, and ADHD medication management, we can help.
Custom-Curated Programmes
Your story is unique. We utilise a variety of assessments to create your highly-individualised lifestyle plan.
Trauma-Informed Care
We shift the focus from symptoms to root causes to consider the role of trauma and its impact on behavioural health.
Clinical Excellence
We use evidence-based methods to gather information and pave the way for the next steps.
Whole-Person Approach
You are more than your current experience. We recognise the social, environmental, and genetic factors that may have put you at risk.
HOW DOES AN ADHD ASSESSMENT WORK?
The ADHD assessment at APN involves a face-to-face assessment as well as gathering information from different sources that may include previous school reports, health assessments, or collateral information from family or friends. Screening and assessment tools are also used, but they are not a substitute for comprehensive history-taking and clinical evaluation of symptoms and their impact on the level of functioning. The initial diagnostic assessment is expected to last up to 3 hours.
WHAT DOES ADHD TREATMENT PLANNING INCLUDE?
Treatment plans for ADHD are designed collaboratively with the client, considering their goals, and tailored to their specific needs and preferences. Different treatment options may be tried to help find the best approach for each individual, and not all adults with ADHD require medication prescription.
ADHD treatment plans at APN London may include (but are not limited to):
- Lifestyle advice
- Personalised nutrition and fitness plans
- Environmental adaptations
- ADHD-focused educational groups
- ADHD coaching
- ADHD therapy
- ADHD medication management*
*Medication is recommended when ADHD symptoms are still causing significant impairment in at least one domain of everyday life despite environmental adaptations.
MAKE THE CONNECTION
Not all individuals with ADHD present with the more well-known symptoms, and the severity of symptoms can vary significantly among individuals. We’ll work with you to gain as much insight as possible to get you the most accurate diagnosis and create a treatment plan that addresses your unique needs.
